Two new board members appointed to Danish Crown’s Board of Directors

At today’s meeting, the Board of Representatives of Danish Crown approved the appointment of Mogens Nørgaard Mogensen and Carsten Rasmussen to the Board of Directors of Danish Crown AmbA.

Based on the recommendation of the Nomination & Evaluation Committee, the Board of Representatives approved two changes to the company’s Board of Directors. The new members are Mogens Nørgaard Mogensen, former CEO & Senior Partner of PwC Denmark, and Carsten Rasmussen, Chief Operating Officer at the LEGO Group. 

Chairman of the Nomination & Evaluation Committee, Svend Amstrup Jensen, says: 

“This has been a thorough process, carried out in close collaboration with our Chairman of the Board, Søren Skou. We have identified two candidates who bring exactly the competencies we need. With Mogens Nørgaard Mogensen, we gain solid expertise in auditing, governance, and operational optimization. With Carsten Rasmussen, we add strong global insights into operations and logistics. I am very pleased with the outcome, and it is encouraging to see the strength of the candidate pool we had to work with.” 

The two new members replace Camilla Sylvest, who has served on the Board since 2017, including two years as Vice Chair, and Jesper V. Christensen, who joined in 2016. Both step down to focus on other responsibilities.

The Board has initiated work on the long-term strategy, where the competencies of our new members will be of great importance. 

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Camilla Sylvest and Jesper V. Christensen for their valuable contributions to Danish Crown over the past eight and nine years, respectively.” 

Mogens Nørgaard Mogensen (b. 1966) holds a master’s degree in business administration and Auditing from Aalborg University and is a state-authorized public accountant. He has spent his entire career with PwC in Denmark and abroad, serving the last 13 years as Senior Partner and CEO of PwC Denmark. 
“I look forward to contributing to the continued transformation of Danish Crown, creating even greater value for owners, employees, and society,” said Mogens Nørgaard Mogensen. 

Carsten Rasmussen (b. 1972) holds a master’s degree in Logistics from Aarhus University and has served as Chief Operating Officer of the LEGO Group since 2017, with global responsibility for production and supply chain. He has broad international leadership experience from LEGO’s activities in Europe, the US, and Asia. 

“Danish Crown has already taken important steps in the right direction, but a significant transformation still lies ahead. I look forward to contributing my experience and perspective, as Danish Crown is a company of great importance to society,” said Carsten Rasmussen. 

Mogens Nørgaard Mogensen assumes his position with immediate effect, while Carsten Rasmussen will join after the end of the current financial year. 

The Board of Directors of Danish Crown AmbA consists of five members elected by the Board of Representatives, five external members, and three employee representatives.
