New Division Director for Danish Crown

September 28, 2012

Randers, 28 september 2012

In January 2013, Jesper Friis (43) will take up the position of new Division Director of Danish Crown's Pork Division.

In recent years, responsibility for the food group's largest division with revenue of just over DKK 30 billion has been in the hands of CEO Kjeld Johannesen. With the appointment of Jesper Friis, this becomes an independent area of responsibility.

Jesper Friis comes from a position as Senior Vice President, Western Europe with Carlsberg.

Jesper Friis has been with Carlsberg since 2005 – and in addition to his current regional responsibilities he has also been Sales Director in Denmark and CEO of Carlsberg's subsidiary in Norway.

- Jesper will bring exactly the international experience we have been looking for, and he has also delivered some excellent results in his current job, says CEO Kjeld Johannesen about the appointment.

Jesper Friis grew up on a cattle farm in southern Jutland. After being posted abroad with his family, he is now returning to Denmark to head a division which manages the world's largest pork exports.
