Change of CEO at DAT-Schaub after 23 Years

August 14, 2025

Guillaume Latourrette will take over as CEO of DAT-Schaub, Danish Crown’s global market leader in natural casings for sausage production, among other areas. He joins from a role as Senior Vice President at the Swedish-based company Ahlstrom and has previously held senior positions at Tetra Pak, Amcor, and Oatly.

With over 20 years of international experience in the food and packaging industries, he brings strong experience to lead one of the flagships of Danish Crown’s global export operations, with subsidiaries in 17 countries and 3,800 employees.

“Guillaume has extensive international experience and a deep understanding of both business and people. He has demonstrated an ability to unite organisations, set a clear direction, and deliver results. I’m confident he will build on the strong foundation at DAT-Schaub and contribute to the transformation we’re driving across the group,” says Anders Aakær Jensen, Group CFO at Danish Crown.

Guillaume Latourrette is looking forward to joining DAT-Schaub:

“DAT-Schaub is a strong and specialised international company with a clear purpose and an important role in Danish Crown’s value chain. I’m excited to further develop the business alongside an experienced global team and to build on the strong culture and partnerships that Jan Roelsgaard has helped shape over the years,” says Guillaume Latourrette.

“I approach this role with great respect for the company’s legacy and a clear focus on strengthening our global position in a changing industry.”

Farewell to a Major Figure in Danish Export

After 36 years at DAT-Schaub – including 23 years as CEO – Jan Roelsgaard has decided to step down. Under his leadership, DAT-Schaub has grown into one of the world’s leading suppliers of natural casings for sausage production. Alongside this, the company has developed a significant trade in raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry and, with a strong international presence, plays a central role within the Danish Crown Group.

“Jan has been instrumental in developing DAT-Schaub into what it is today – a globally recognised company with strong relationships with both customers and owners. It’s an exceptional achievement and a career that commands great respect,” says Anders Aakær Jensen.

Jan Roelsgaard steps down with peace of mind and gratitude:

“DAT-Schaub is in a strong position despite challenges across the industry, and it feels like the right time to hand over the reins. I look back with immense gratitude for all we’ve accomplished and for the fact that we’ve maintained a strong culture defined by commitment, integrity, and collaboration.”

“I would also like to thank all our employees, colleagues, customers, and partners for their trust, support, and dedication over the years. It has been a real pleasure working with you, and together we have built something strong and lasting,” says Jan Roelsgaard.

Guillaume Latourrette will officially succeed Jan Roelsgaard on October 7 and will be based in Copenhagen. He will also join Danish Crown’s Global Management Team.
