Today relief was felt among employees at Danish Crown in Rønne when a majority voted yes to the mutual rescue plan, which has been put forward at the slaughterhouse.

182 of 196 employees voted yes to the agreement; corresponding to 93 per cent.

-This is a special agreement at the Rønne slaughterhouse, which will not be copied to other slaughterhouses. The employees have been positive and very constructive and I am really pleased that they have been willing to seek a solution to quite a unique problem in Bornholm says Jesper Friis, CEO of DC Pork.

According to the agreement, a Bornholm foundation is established under which employees will be part of financing investments in the slaughterhouse.
