Among recent winners of the title Danish Transatlantic Company of the year is well known companies such as Lundbeck, Terma, Novozymes and Grundfos, and the next name added to that list could very well become Plumrose USA.

The company is among eight remaining contenders for the title in 2015, and not least the farsighted construction of the facility in Council Bluffs is among the reasons for nominating Plumrose USA.

- It is a great honor to be among the final contenders for the title as Transatlantic Company of the Year. I see it as a great recognition of the investments we have made in the US in recent years in order place Plumrose USA among the leading food producers in the country, says CEO of DC Foods, Flemming N. Enevoldsen.

In that regard he singles out the building of a state of the art facility in Council Bluffs. A facility that was named Sustainable Plant of the year in the USA.

- It has been a mouthful for the company to build a factory which is state of the art in terms of production as well as in reducing consumption of energy, water and other ressources. However, now that the plant is built and fully functional it is one of the most modern and effective facilities within the group. If the Council Bluffs facility is also seen by others as improving relations between Denmark and the US, it only makes the employees in both Denmark and the US even more proud, explains Flemming N. Enevoldsen.

The eight companies competing for the honor as Danish Transatlantic Company of the Year 2015 are GN Resound, Siteimprove, Sitecore, Weibel, Rambøll, Bavarian Nordic and Plumrose USA.

The winner is chosen by a jury of three professionals, and the prize will be awarded by the Danish Ambassador in USA Peter Taksøe Jensen and U.S. Ambassador in Denmark J. Rufus Gifford at a ceremony at the head quarter of Maersk held on March 17, 2015.
