56 year old Erik Eisenberg is appointed new Head of Communication in Danish Crown. He begins tenure on 1 January 2016.

Erik Eisenberg, who will have the formal title of Vice President Group Communications, has most recently held a similar position at APM Terminals, one of the most successful and fastest growing business units in the Mærsk group. Based in The Hague, the Netherlands, he has since 2011 been responsible for all aspects of the international port operator’s internal and external communication and branding activities. Prior to this position he was responsible for the internal and external communication of Dansk Supermarked from 2006.

Erik Eisenberg is originally a journalist and he has worked for Danish media at among others Jyllands-Posten, TV2, Børsens Nyhedsmagasin and Ekstra Bladet where he was a news editor and chief sub-editor.

Possessing two Cavling awards, the most prestigious Danish media award, it is therefore an extremely media experienced Head of Communication who now reports for meat duty in the Danish based global company with operations in 136 countries, 8000 cooperative members, 26,000 employees and a turnover of about DKK 59 billion in 2014/15.

Erik Eisenberg is married with two grown children and privately he lives in Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark. He replaces Danish Crown’s long-service Head of Communication Anne Villemoes, who ended her tenure on 1 December after 10 years in the position to set up her own business as an independent consultant and advisor.
