Danish Crown's management and Nicolaj Nørgaard have agreed that it is time to let a new profile take charge of the further development of Danish Crown Owner Services.
Therefore, SVP Nicolaj Nørgaard will step down as director of the area once he has handed over his duties to Søren Tinggaard.
"We are currently shaping the future structure of Danish Crown, and this includes exciting developments in the owner service area. Through many valuable talks, Nicolaj and I have come to the shared conclusion that the next phase of our collaboration with the owners will benefit from a new profile that aligns with our evolving goals. I would like to thank Nicolaj for his dedicated efforts. His considerable professional skills have moved Danish Crown forward on many fronts," says Group CEO Niels Duedahl.
Nicolaj Nørgaard says of his time at Danish Crown:
“It has been seven exciting years, during which the Owner Services team has developed, implemented and delivered strong advice and service to our owners. Among other things, there has been a focus on value chain optimisation through consulting, Danish Crown Data, Andelstanken 2.0, piglet ownership, cost-effective sustainability initiatives, etc. There have been ups and downs with listings and pig numbers, and I will miss the daily chats with the owners, my colleagues at Danish Crown and, not least, the team at Owner Services."
Søren Tinggaard will be the new director of Danish Crown Owner Services. He comes from a position as director of Danish Crown's organic company, Friland, and has held a number of key roles in the group in both Denmark and abroad for more than 30 years.
"We are very pleased to have found a talented successor internally in Søren Tinggaard. Across the entire group, we have reached the stage in our transformation where we are building the right structure for the future. Owner service is a crucial function for us in the competition for raw materials, and Søren has an important task ahead of him in developing this area," says Group CEO Niels Duedahl.
"I find the interaction between the cooperative members, the company and the day-to-day business really interesting to work with. The job at Friland has brought me into close contact with the owners. Now I am returning to the part of the business where my career at Danish Crown began and an area that is both a focus and incredibly important for the group right now, so I see it as a very exciting challenge," says Søren Tinggaard.
A process is now underway to find a new CEO for Friland. Until a replacement is found, Søren Tinggaard will take on the role.
