At Danish Crown, we are constantly improving our performance – from farm to fork – to enable people all over the world to safely enjoy a tasty meal. Our legacy dates back to 1887 and the Danish co-operative movement, so we have inherited our responsibility towards society, our employees and our owners; the farmers.
Being a global leader in sustainable meat production comes with accountability. Not only to consistently deliver the products, but also to constantly investigate new opportunities. We still have a long way to go, and many challenges lie ahead. But we are firmly determined to find better ways of producing food – ways that respect animals, people and the environment in our quest, we are prepared to challenge ourselves, the industry and customers.
We promise to take the lead, but we cannot complete the journey alone. Only by joining efforts, will we be able to make food production more sustainable and fundamentally change our approach to food and the way it is produced.
All our Danish pig farmers have joined the Climate Track. From 2024, Sweden, Poland and Germany will also be a part of the programme.
The Climate Track is a part of our sustainability strategy and is a tool with which we can measure the entire value chain from farm to fork.
