We lead the way is one of the corporate values of Danish Crown.

This also applies to Danish Crown’s Code of Practice.

The Code of Practice is a set of rules issued by Danish Crown to the farmers. These rules include a number of requirements which go further than the legislation – some of them are imposed by the industry, and some are specific Danish Crown requirements.

The requirements fall within these main groups:

• Food safety
• Meat quality
• Feed
• Ethics and animal welfare

Danish Crown’s suppliers guarantee by their signature that they are prepared to comply with the stricter production requirements under each of the headings mentioned above.
