Fall in CO2 emissions per pig slaughtered

 

Targeted efforts to reduce the consumption of electricity and heating have, among other things, resulted in a 29% reduction in CO2 emissions per pig slaughtered since 1988. This can be seen from the illustration below.

… that Danish Crown is Denmark´s biggest slaughterer of cattle livestock. Danish Crown slaughters around 279,000 cattle annually in  Denmark, which is 60% of the total number of cattle slaughtered in Denmark. Around half of this meat is exported, while the other half is bought by Danish consumers.
