Danish cattle has a high health standard, and the meat quality is the very best.

The Danish veterinary inspection and legislation are among the strictest in the world, and they cover the entire process from the rearing of the animals on the farms to the inspection of every single animal at the slaughterhouses.

The veterinary surgeons at the slaughterhouses are employed by the Government, and are thus independent of the slaughterhouses. The veterinary surgeons are the guarantee of the Danish state - and thus also of the consumers - that slaughterhouse hygiene is the very best so that the Danish beef complies with the health requirements in this respect, too.

This helps to ensure the high meat quality of beef from Danish Crown.
