Danish Crowns pig slaughterhouse in Blans caught fire Monday. The damages are severe but even before the fire at the plant in Blans was put out, Danish Crown had prepared an emergency plan in order to secure that all the pigs will be slaughtered.

DAT-SCHAUB International A/S and Findane A/S merge
At an ordinary board meeting in Dat-Schaub International A/S it has been decided to merge DAT-SCHAUB International A/S and Findane A/S. The merger will take effect as of September 30, 2006.

… that Danish Crown´s slaughterhouses process meat from 70,000 pigs every day. Weighing in at around  4,900 tons, this is enough to fill 222 lorries.
