 ‘Danish Veal’’ is premium veal, produced by a select number of farmers, breeding calves under the most stringent quality control.

Various ethical and health and welfare requirements must be met to be able to produce ‘Danish Veal’’. The intention is to produce a unique, great tasting product by ensuring that Danish Crown farmers and retailers work together dynamically.

Danish Crown ensures quality and safety by applying a comprehensive quality control system and providing elaborate veterinary care for each individual calf.

… that Danish Crown is Denmark´s biggest slaughterer of cattle livestock. Danish Crown slaughters around 269,000 cattle annually in  Denmark, which is 57% of the total number of cattle slaughtered in Denmark. Around half of this meat is exported, while the other half is bought by Danish consumers.
