Scan-Hide was established in 1991 by a number of Danish slaughterhouse companies, and at that time it had a market share of approx. 25%, corresponding to about 200,000 cattle hides a year.

Today, that market share has in- creased to approx. 90%, the company processing 762,000 hides from cattle slaughterhouses (Including hides from Schlachtzentrum Nordfriesland) and hides from destruction plants.

This strong growth has permitted investment in the production plant, and today Scan-Hide is therefore a modern company with a completely mechanised plant for salting and processing of hides.
